Phase
I and II Environmental Site Assessments
AVANT
provides a full range of environmental assessment services
for lenders, realtors, insurers, developers, governments,
law firms, and the owners and operators of commercial,
industrial, and residential sites. If you buy or sell properties
or facilities, our inspectors and scientists work with
you to identify potential regulatory and environmental
issues and help you evaluate your environmental liabilities.
The
following information describes AVANT's Phase I and
II site assessment capabilities:
- AVANT's
Phase I site assessments and assessment updates
are performed in general accordance with the ASTM
E 1527 standard.
- AVANT
performs dozens of Phase I assessments and assessment
updates annually using an efficient, systematic
approach that yields comprehensive evaluations of
potential environmental conditions.
- We
take risk management seriously and use only highly
experienced environmental professionals as assessors.
Clues about historical environmental activities
are often subtle and may not be detected by less-experienced
assessors.
- AVANT's
assessment professionals include licensed geologists,
certified asbestos inspectors, experienced lead-paint
assessors, and wetland delineators trained by the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, depending on your
needs.
- We
make optimal use of on-line database searches and
aerial/satellite image sources, digital site photography,
and CADD facilities to achieve optimal response
times for assessments.
- AVANT's
primary service area for Phase I environmental site
assessments is northern and central Indiana, southern
Michigan, eastern Illinois, and western Ohio.
- Our
standard completion time for Phase I ESAs is 10
business days, from receiving authorization to proceed
to mailing the final report. Under tighter time
constraints, this schedule can often be compressed
to five business days.
- For
clients with whom AVANT has blanket agreements to
perform site assessments, we have a simple, one-page
fax-ordering system that ensures (1) we receive
consistent site information with each request, (2)
our response to the client is consistent and complete,
and (3) expedites the assessment.
